The 0.2 percent THC rule is a myth.
That figure is about growing hemp, not selling it. The rule that governs what you can legally buy is 1mg of controlled cannabinoids per container — per container, not per dose, whatever the bottle size. Most of this industry states it wrong.
How UK CBD law worksA UK CBD shop that stocks the whole shelf
Most CBD sites sell one thing well. If you want gummies you go to one shop, vapes to another, and rolling papers somewhere else entirely. GoCBD exists to end that: every format in one basket, from the brands people already ask for by name.
We do not make any of it. We are a stockist rather than a label, which means we can do the one thing a brand-owned site structurally cannot: compare across brands honestly, including telling you when a range is not the one you want. Orange County, Aztec, Darwin, Vitality, Hempthy, Euphoria, Professor Herb, Multitrance, RAW, Elements and King Palm all sit on the same shelf here, and none of them pays for a better position on it.
Every CBD line is lab-tested with a certificate of analysis behind it. Nothing we sell is intoxicating, nothing contains nicotine, and everything is sold to over-18s only with age verification at checkout.
Which format, and why
The formats are not interchangeable. They differ in how quickly they are absorbed, how precisely you can measure them and, in two cases, in which set of rules governs them. This is the whole shop in one table, with the honest reason to pick each.

The law, stated the way it actually reads
A CBD product may be sold in the UK when it holds no more than 1mg of controlled cannabinoids in the whole container. Per container. Not per sweet, not per drop, not per serving, and not a percentage of anything. A 100ml bottle is held to exactly the same 1mg as a 10ml one.
The percentage figure quoted across most of this industry is a real number in the wrong place. It is a limit on the standing crop, applied to hemp grown under a Home Office cultivation licence, and it describes what a farmer may grow rather than what a shop may sell. We checked seven UK CBD homepages while writing this page and one of them stated the consumer test correctly.
Beyond that, two regimes apply depending on the aisle. Anything eaten or drunk sits inside the Food Standards Agency Novel Foods framework. Vapes and balms do not, because you neither eat nor drink them, and balms answer to cosmetics regulation instead. The FSA also advises healthy adults to keep CBD from food supplements to about 10mg a day, revised down from 70mg in February 2023, and a surprising number of pages still quote the old figure.
What we will tell you that a brand will not
Some of what we stock is not CBD, and we would rather say so on the front page than let a label do the work. Several lines across the vapes, hash and gummies aisles are H4CBD, a semi-synthetic hydrogenated cannabinoid that is a different molecule from CBD and holds no Novel Foods authorisation. Anything with H4 in the name is one of them, and each aisle page explains what that means.
Elsewhere, plenty of the market sells cannabis-flavoured food as though it were dosed food. In our edibles aisle only four lines print a milligram figure, and in drinks only five do. Those pages name them. Hemp rolling papers are hemp fibre with no cannabinoid in them at all, and the accessories aisle contains none either.
We also do not stock everything. There is no dosed sparkling CBD can here, because the brands that own that shelf are carried by neither of our two distributors. No lighters, pipes, bongs or scales. No facial skincare. No single-use disposable vapes, which have been unlawful to sell in the UK since 1 June 2025 and are not coming back.
How the shop actually works
We buy through two UK trade distributors and nobody else. That is a deliberate narrowing rather than a limitation we are apologising for: two suppliers means two sets of paperwork to check rather than fifteen, and it is the reason we can say what is behind a given batch when somebody asks.
Stock is bought to order rather than held in a warehouse for months, so what arrives has usually left the distributor within days. It is also why a line occasionally shows as unavailable rather than shipping late, and why anything with a short date on it is flagged on its own product page instead of quietly sold.
Every CBD line has third-party laboratory testing behind it. Our lab reports page sets out what we ask distributors for and what a certificate of analysis should actually show you, which is more useful than a badge. The full-spectrum lines get particular attention, because full spectrum is the only grade that deliberately retains trace THC and therefore the one where the per-container limit does real work.
